TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION
What travel documentation is required?
Requirements are outlined below. Participants must have all required
documents a minimum of 77 days before departure.
- For all countries except Puerto Rico & Mexico: VALID PASSPORT
- Passport numbers must be submitted with the final payment, 65 days prior to departure.
- Passport must be valid for a minimum of 90 days following your return to the USA.
- Organizing Spanish teachers must have 3 photocopies of each passport:
- Upon arrival abroad, give one set to the Tour Representative (guide or courier).
- Carry one set throughout the tour.
- Leave one set at home with a designated teacher, parent, or family member.
- Puerto Rico requires: government-issued photo ID (drivers license or state ID card) with signature.
- Mexico requires these two items for everyone:
- Valid passport or original State issued Birth Certificate with an affixed seal. Photo-copies or a hospital certificate with raised seal and footprints are not acceptable.
- Valid passport or GOVERNMENT-ISSUED PHOTO ID (DRIVERS LICENSE OR STATE ID CARD) WITH SIGNATURE. School ID is not acceptable. (Married women must provide original marriage certificate to document change from maiden to married name.)
- Mexico requires a third item from everyone 17 or younger on the day of travel:
NOTARIZED PARENTAL PERMISSION Letter
from the Non-Accompanying parent or parents stating that they have given consent for their child to leave the country.

- The Parental Permission Form must be notarized within 30 days of the date that you leave the USA.
- The notary's commission - required as part of the notary seal - must be valid through the date of your return to the USA.
If you are not a U.S. Citizen, it is your sole responsibility to contact the appropriate consular office for the proper documentation. These regulations change periodically.
